Great Tropical Sun/Rain Hat. keeps the strong sun off your head(bald), keeps glasses dry when raining. lightweight. their is an air gap allowing air flow over scalp for cooling. keep an eye on it, your family will want to "borrow it" and i had one ripped off in the woods, even when i put it up a 15 foot tree limb, but i had backup one. next time ill order 4 of em! brian in FL. we get some serious sun and rain, but i always bring 2 north in summer on basspeditions. the elastic strap is adequate,and proper for the hat, but replace with camo parachute cord with a cincher if you in the wind.

It fits my head, which is more than I can say for a lot of hats! The hat is plastic. However, it is a fun hat! And for the price, I'm not complaining. It has a plastic band on the inside that lifts it off your head and there is a sweat band attached to that. Basically, it's like a construction type hard hat. Still, it looks just like the one Clark Gable wore in, "China Seas" (1935). So, I love it!
