Comments about GI TYPE DESERT TAN BOOT:
I wear these boots everyday. They're warm, durable, have great traction, and are very comfortable. The only downside I've noticed is that you have to use a waterproofer since they aren't already water resistant.

wanted 14 Wide, but only came in 13 wide. Turns out the 13 wide are more than large enough.
Very good communication from seller

Comments about GI TYPE DESERT TAN BOOT:
I'm using this boot primarily to toughen my areas of my feet that haven't been covered by a running shoe before going to BCT and SFAS. I traditionally wear sneakers or cross trainers and adjusting to the footwear is something I wanted to do BEFORE I go on a 30K hike with a 45 pound rucksack. Current use is 5-20K hike about 3-4 times a weeks with a 20 pound ruck.
As for the boot construction:
Sole- it's solid and gets good tread on dirt, gravel, and mud. I've had them for a couple weeks now and am already noticing significant wear. Whether this is from my high rate of activity or poor product design, I can't be sure.
Body- the main body of the boot is relatively good at blocking moisture from getting in (after being treated with mink oil, prior to that I doubt it would be nearly as effective.). Very sturdy and no complaints.
Insole- this is where I have to gripe. 3 days and the insoles were torn up. Had I not already planned to replace these with higher quality ones, I would have been very upset.
End rating, good boot for the price you pay. Certainly not worth much more than 40 bucks, though.
