We've found that just one of these blankets keeps more heat than four layers of other regular blankets. It's amazing.

We also use these blankets to insulate our house. Even with new windows, cold air used to chill the rooms. At night, we've hung a blanket over each drafty window, and saved a bundle on heat.

I would also recommend this as an all-purpose blanket to keep stored in the trunk of your car. Emergencies, sporting events, outdoor concerts--the blanket is multi-functional.
